TEACHING
I come from a family where teaching is a long tradition. For the past 15 years I have taught piano, privately and at music institutions in the UK. My experience on the stage, as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral pianist, informs my teaching and, I consider, has enabled it to be both effective and inspiring for my students.
In recent years I have also been recording music and composing for film as well.
Notwithstanding my performance schedule, I treat teaching with at least equal importance and it constitutes a central part of my musical career. Many of my private students have been taught by me from the beginning and a number are now at conservatoire level. Some of my students have been very successful at competitions, and others have been offered places at music institutions thanks to successfully prepared auditions. I work with students at every level, also providing music theory tuition to complete beginners through to more advanced musicians.
My youngest student was 5 years old and the oldest (currently) 70. My teaching priorities have always been focused on providing students with an individual approach, feedback and solutions, with a view to developing their technical, musical and artistic skills. I always try to treat every student individually and to adjust to her/his needs. My lessons are conducted in a friendly atmosphere, where I seek to share my enthusiasm and to demonstrate how, through challenging but exciting work, great results can be achieved. Having been exposed to various piano schools, I have learned different approaches to teaching and music making in general, which, I feel, has had a beneficial impact on my own teaching style.
LUCY

What has most impressed us about Lukasz teaching is his total dedication to our daughter as a student. His teaching, grounded in developing Lucy's technique and musicality, has been the foundation of all Lucy's achievements and her own lasting love of music. He has demanded discipline without ever sacrificing passion and a sense of confidence and fun. His teaching style was focussed and energetic but also relaxed and engaging.

We have recommended Lukasz to many friends over the years, and most of them have become long-term pupils under his tutelage. This is a testament to the outstanding reputation he has earned within our community as a skilled and inspiring piano teacher.

Lukasz's teaching has been for me the equivalent of an experienced and sure-footed mountain guide, attentive to the correct path to follow, alert to the risks of departing from it, but ready and able to point out the splendid and varied views en route!
